The University of Tennessee System enthusiastically invites
applications and nominations for a Director of Real Property in the
Office of Capital Projects and the division of Real Property and
Space Administration.
The Real Property office is responsible for the management and
execution of real property transactions across the UT System. This
work includes analyzing and evaluating opportunities, negotiating
terms, and preparing documents for leases, easements, acquisitions,
and disposals and for preparing presentations for the University's
Board of Trustees and the State Building Commission.
The office manages all real property transactions through the
University and State approval process, administers and procures due
diligence services for real property transactions, ensures
adherence to real property policies and procedures, assures
maintenance of real property inventory and coordinates real
property projects. Additionally, the office facilitates the
University held portion of the gift property program, and works
closely with the Tennessee Higher Education commission and each of
the campuses in the development of master plans.
Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President, the Director
will provide supervision, administration and management of all
University-wide real property ventures. Additionally, this position
frequently completes the analysis and prepares documents associated
with the transactions. Position responsibilities include, but not

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree is required. A master's is preferred. A minimum
of seven years of broad experience in real property acquisition,
dispositions, and property administration is required. Experience
working in higher education and/or state or local government is
preferred.
