Major Functional Responsibility To coordinate the credit approval process for the shipment of boats and parts to Brunswick Boat Groups North American Dealers in accordance with established policies, practices and procedures in a manner that will result in maximum sales, sound receivables, and the prompt conversion of receivables into cash. To support other Credit Department personnel as needed and prepare Ad hoc reports when necessary. Specific Responsibilities - Apply the company's credit policies, practices and procedures to the credit requirements of Brunswick Boat Groups North American Dealers. - Maintain contact with Domestic Dealers and their wholesale floorplan sources to assess availability of credit, to resolve credit issues, and to facilitate shipment of boats. - Discuss with Credit Supervisor, when necessary, questionable or special arrangements for credit. - Communicate with sales, plants, transportation, and appropriate Brand personnel any information impacting their activity relating to production schedules and product shipments; Coordinate with sales, plants, transportation, and other Brand personnel shipment of product to Domestic Dealers with special financing arrangements. - Distribute invoices and other documents to domestic wholesale floorplan sources. - Review monthly balances of Domestic Dealers to ensure boat and other invoices are paid promptly; Initiate collection action when deviations occur. - Handle requests for duplicate boat documentation following procedures prepared by the Corporate Legal Department. - Credit and re-invoice boats as required to adjust pricing, and/or reassign boats to other dealers. - Reconcile weekly report of boat invoices outstanding with dealer finance sources and confirm submission of payment; Resolve any discrepancies. - Monitor status of dealer accounts; Submit adjustments to Accounts Receivable for processing as needed; Collect past due invoices. - Provide backup for other Domestic Credit Coordinators. - Prepare and distribute the monthly Finished Goods and Collection Reports. - Insure the Collection Report is accurate, issues on past due accounts have been documented and the Report is completed in accordance Company Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. - Assist in the credit review process by contacting dealers to secure required financial statements and other data. - Perform other related duties as designated by the Credit Supervisor or Operations Manager. WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO OUR WINNING TEAM: Qualifications - Prior experience in credit/collections/banking/customer service preferred but not required and a four year college degree in accounting/finance or related field. - Strong data entry skills. - Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer including Word and Excel. - Ability to learn IBM System AS/400 and Oracle Financials. - Strong interpersonal and organization skills to effectively communicate with the Brunswick dealer network, finance sources and inter-company personnel. - Must possess an ability to critically evaluate information and understand the relationship between tasks. - Must be able to prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines. - Must be dependable and able to maintain positive working relationships with peers and management.
