Job Description:
StandardAero is one of the largest independent maintenance,
repair, and overhaul providers in the aerospace industry. At our
plants, our units engage in a variety of work scopes involving
trouble-shooting, problem solving, and working together to embody
our priority, which is ensuring the safety of our people and our
product.The responsibilities of the role include:- Repair and
overhaul of gas turbine engines.- Inspection of engine modules and
engine components.- Observing all applicable safety practices and
aviation regulations.- Set up engine/component into work area-
Complete check in process - reviewing documentation- Identifying
the status of the engine/component and determine if any outstanding
modification or airworthiness directive need to be incorporated-
De-stack/disassemble engine, modules, components and/or
accessories- Record and take measurements while dismantling,
document with pictures as required- Prepare parts to get cleaned
and repaired, clean parts as required- Inspects the parts
determining if they are able to be repaired or replaced- Route
repairable parts to appropriate area- Place order for parts
required- Ensures all parts required are ready and available for
assembly of the engine or component- Assemble complete engines,
modules, components and/or assemblies- Final release process -
checking product for compliance- Uses manuals and technical
specifications to determine proper operating conditions- Verifying
the conformance of parts to manuals and technical dataThe
requirements for an ideal candidate include:- The ability to read
and interpret manuals, technical drawings, and blueprints to
determine proper operating conditions.- The ability to follow both
written and verbal instructions.- The ability to lift up to 50lbs
without assistance.- The ability to stand for extended periods of
time.- FAA Power plant certification considered an asset.- Working
independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality.Education
Requirements:- Mechanical and/or aviation experience/aptitude
preferred- High School Diploma or EquivalentMechanic IV- Provides
guidance to other mechanics with troubleshooting during the
assembly, inspection and dismantle process.- Inspection of unique
parts.- In-depth knowledge of process, manual and aviation
regulations.- Apprenticeship and or/formal training in area(s) of
specialty or commensurate experience is preferred.- Minimum of 6
