Job Description:

StandardAero is one of the largest independent maintenance, repair, and overhaul providers in the aerospace industry. At our plants, our units engage in a variety of work scopes involving trouble-shooting, problem solving, and working together to embody our priority, which is ensuring the safety of our people and our product.The responsibilities of the role include:- Repair and overhaul of gas turbine engines.- Inspection of engine modules and engine components.- Observing all applicable safety practices and aviation regulations.- Set up engine/component into work area- Complete check in process - reviewing documentation- Identifying the status of the engine/component and determine if any outstanding modification or airworthiness directive need to be incorporated- De-stack/disassemble engine, modules, components and/or accessories- Record and take measurements while dismantling, document with pictures as required- Prepare parts to get cleaned and repaired, clean parts as required- Inspects the parts determining if they are able to be repaired or replaced- Route repairable parts to appropriate area- Place order for parts required- Ensures all parts required are ready and available for assembly of the engine or component- Assemble complete engines, modules, components and/or assemblies- Final release process - checking product for compliance- Uses manuals and technical specifications to determine proper operating conditions- Verifying the conformance of parts to manuals and technical dataThe requirements for an ideal candidate include:- The ability to read and interpret manuals, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine proper operating conditions.- The ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.- The ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance.- The ability to stand for extended periods of time.- FAA Power plant certification considered an asset.- Working independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality.Education Requirements:- Mechanical and/or aviation experience/aptitude preferred- High School Diploma or EquivalentMechanic IV- Provides guidance to other mechanics with troubleshooting during the assembly, inspection and dismantle process.- Inspection of unique parts.- In-depth knowledge of process, manual and aviation regulations.- Apprenticeship and or/formal training in area(s) of specialty or commensurate experience is preferred.- Minimum of 6 years aviation maintenance experience.At StandardAero, we offer:- A clean, safe, and temperature controlled work environment.- Competitive compensation structures and a total rewards package.- An opportunity to work with a variety of aircraft engines.- A variety of shifts and hours.- Opportunities for horizontal and vertical movement within the organizationMust meet US Persons requirements per ITAR.StandardAero is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, pregnancy, age, national or ethnic origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, transgender status, genetic information, status as a protected veteran, and basis of disability status or any other federal, state or local protected class.
