Our Heavy Duty department is located within Clarke Power Services branch in Knoxville, TN.Heavy Duty's main focus is the refurbishment of terminal tractors, truck mounted forklifts, as well as other mid-sized equipment.The Technician will perform heavy duty equipment refurbishment and maintenance This includes tear down and reassembly work utilizing new and used components.This is a great opportunity for a Technician to apply his or her skills in a company that offers highly competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and career growth.We would like to talk with YOU!What are the Duties?Essential Duties:Entry Level Heavy Duty Equipment Refurbishment (Terminal Tractors, Truck Mounted Forklifts, other mid-sized equipment)Electrical, Engine, and Transmission Diagnostic Ability is A Plus (Cummins engine and Allison Transmission experience a Plus)Modify, and repair of older equipmentCommunicate directly with Heavy Duty Lead Tech, Customer Support Manager, and Customer Support RepProvide accurate updates and time frames on all unit status'Welding and Fabrication Skills are a PlusMUST HAVE A TEAM MENTALITYWork may be done in shop and outside exposed to weatherPHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs.
