Job Description:

We are searching for an mechanically minded auto technician to help our repair shop's customers resolve issues with their vehicles' performance, structure, appearance, and functionality. Our ideal candidate is comfortable communicating with customers about their vehicles' performance and maintenance history. You'll be tasked with inspecting automobiles' mechanical components, systems, and parts to determine their necessary fixes. You'll also maintain repair shop equipment and prepare cost estimates. Responsibilities:

Remedy mechanical problems and malfunction codes that are identified in the vehicle's electrical system, mechanical systems, and electronic systems
Preparing estimates, timelines, and other necessary documents for auto repairs
Conduct test drives, inspections, and diagnostic tests to determine automotive malfunctions
Continue learning and growing technical skills and opportunities
Team up with managers and other mechanics to diagnose and service cars coming in for auto repairs


Qualifications:

Required state-issued driver's license
Experience and manual dexterity using hand tools and other equipment is needed
Excellent work ethic, listening, problem-solving, and communication skills are desired

Associate's degree from a vocational program, technical school, or community college is preferred - ASE certification is a big bonus
Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
--- Must be 18 years or older
--- 3 to 4 years minimum experience

Bonus Qualifications desired but not necessary:
--- Knowledge on powersports
--- Marine engine and repair
--- Welding and fabrication
--- Body repair and paint
--- Knowledge of ProDemand Diagnostic System

Must pass a background check and drug test.
