MSS Solutions has an immediate opening for a Commercial HVAC Service Technician in Asheville, NC. Here is what a typical day might look like: You’ll service, troubleshoot and repair complex commercial HVAC equipment including chillers, boilers, thermal storage systems and more – it’s something new every day! You’ll help train technicians of all levels Drive to and from customer sites as needed in your company truck (as long as your driving record is acceptable) Qualifications and Requirements Proficient with troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining commercial HVAC equipment Knowledge of basic refrigerant cycle, various heating components and air distribution systems. Proficient with brazing, leak checking and the evacuation process Understands mechanical drawings and equipment specifications Ability to abide by basic safe work practices 7 years of commercial HVAC service experience Universal EPA Certification Ability to efficiently execute repairs with little to no technical assistance Ability to write reports. Ability to show up on time, ready to work and in uniform Ability to communicate with both internal and external customers Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record Must successfully pass a background check and drug test Physical Demands: Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing and climbing. Constant standing, walking, reaching and gripping. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (maximum solo lift) and constant lifting to 25 lbs., placing this position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC). Material Handling: Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. and constant lifting up to 25 lbs., placing this position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC). Work Environment: Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, high noise intensity level, atmospheric conditions, exposure to electrical shock, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, wet and/or humid, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working high exposure places.
