Job DescriptionJob background: *Fully remote role* Newly created role responsible for developing category strategy from scratch- this opportunity offers untapped potential to grow and take ownership of a business critical category. Senior sourcing manager role at a well established national Electronics company, offering great growth opportunity/progression. Key responsibilities for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating for EMS products and electronic components including global sourcing, ensuring supplier reliability, supply quality, cost savings, on-time delivery, and supply network optimization. Play a key and crucial role mitigating the supply chain risk; to accomplish this, you'll work with world-class cross-functional teams and rely on your razor-sharp problem-solving skills; don't forget, you must consistently achieve the best possible cost. Example of day to day:

• Work with a cross-functional team to drive the supplier selection process and component qualification under strict engineering and commercial best practices/disciplines.
• Identify components that provide a competitive advantage in both technology and cost for the company.
• Act as the VAVE expert and implement a "spend better" attitude.
• Drive change management efforts and create relationships with cross-functional teams to continuously improve manufacturing efficiency, yield, and performances via repeatable processes
• Develop and execute a market-leading sourcing and supply base strategy in the EMS-related Material via full market knowledge, supplier selection, predictable and industry-leading commodity pricing plan, and total cost of ownership (TCO) through transparent supplier relationship management.Desirable qualifications:
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience
  • Extensive procurement experience (5+ years)
  • Experience supporting a global organisation
  • Matching category experience (Electronic components/EMS/Lithium battery experience desirable)
  • Battery Manufacturing Industry experience
  • Ability to travel both domestically and abroad
  • Understanding a remote work environment and can adapt
