**Hematology/Oncology Opportunity in Middlesboro, KY**
Located 60 miles from Knoxville, KY

**About the Opening:**
- Full-time, permanent
- Hospital employed
- H1B visa eligible
- Seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Hematologist/Oncologist to join practice in the Cumberland Valley Region.
- Candidate will replace the existing hematologist/oncologist who is leaving in June 2022 for additional research fellowship training. This is a young oncology service line but has grown swiftly due to the current oncologist. It is an extremely important component of the Hospital overall services provided to the community.
- The group currently offers chemotherapy infusion services in separate suite within the Hospital and have been issued a certificate of need (CON) by the Commonwealth of Kentucky to construct a linear accelerator. In November 2020, the health system approved 9 million for the creation of a free-standing cancer center that will house both medical and radiation oncology services

Middlesboro is conveniently located in close driving distance to Lexington,KY, Louisville, KY and Knoxville, TN along with the Great Smoky Mountains. In the communities, there are great public and private school systems in the area and offer a variety of extracurricular activities including: golf, skiing, shopping, hiking, fishing and kayaking.
