If you're passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive and dynamic environment, we want to hear from you!About the Role:As a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse, you will provide care for patients who require more intensive monitoring and treatment than a general medical floor but are not in need of the highest level of care found in an ICU. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, monitor, and intervene in the care of patients with complex conditions. The PCU RN plays a critical role in ensuring the continuity of care, stability, and recovery of patients with a variety of medical conditions.Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Provide direct and indirect care to adult patients with complex health needs, including but not limited to heart conditions, respiratory distress, post-surgical care, and other critical but stable conditions.
  • Monitoring: Continuously assess and monitor patient vital signs, EKGs, lab results, and other indicators to ensure timely interventions.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery goals, and ongoing care requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and provide comprehensive support for each patient.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes according to facility policies and regulatory standards.
  • Critical Thinking: Use strong clinical judgment to intervene in acute situations, adjust care plans, and advocate for patient needs.Qualifications:
    • Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of North Carolina (or compact license) required.
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, or actively enrolled in a BSN program.
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
    • At least 2 year of RN experience in an acute care setting preferred.
    • Previous experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Telemetry unit is highly desirable.Role: PCU RN

      Minimum Requirements:
      
      Current 1-2 years of current PCU RN experience
      Current North Carolina RN License
      Current BLS and ACLS Certifications
      Additional Certifications may be required
      Drivers License
      EMR Experience (Include years of experience, and systems used)
      Final RTO or any scheduling requests
      Two Supervisory References from the past two years of employment
