• Employment Type: TravelPosition Overview:As an Orthopedic RN, you will be responsible for the care of patients with musculoskeletal conditions. Your role will involve providing pre-operative and post-operative care, assisting with pain management, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their recovery process. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled RN who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.Responsibilities:
  • Assess & Monitor: Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and closely monitor patients undergoing orthopedic treatments and surgeries.
  • Pre-Operative & Post-Operative Care: Assist with preparing patients for surgery and manage care during the recovery phase, including wound care, pain management, and mobility training.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on orthopedic conditions, surgical procedures, rehabilitation, and post-discharge care.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized care plans.
  • Pain Management: Administer prescribed medications and interventions to manage pain and enhance the healing process.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient conditions, treatments, and progress in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Advocate: Act as a patient advocate, ensuring safety, comfort, and satisfaction throughout the care process.Required Qualifications:
    • Current RN License in the state of North Carolina (or compact state)
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in orthopedic nursing
    • Strong clinical knowledge and proficiency in orthopedic care
    • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
