Department/Unit Summary
Join our growing team! Our surgical department is made up of a 14 bed Pre-op, 4 bay PACU and 6 Operating Rooms. With dedicated Surgeons, Nurses and OR Assistants, you will gain experience in areas such as General Surgery, OB/GYN, Ortho/Sports Medicine, ENT, Urology, Bronchoscopies, Dental Extractions and Peds Dental Restorations.

Position Summary:
The Outpatient Services (Pre-Op / Post-Op) Registered Nurse holds shift accountability to provide direct care to the patients by utilization of the nursing process in accordance with the established policies and procedures of Harris Regional Hospital. Abides by the standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations. Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education. Delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of other staff.
Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process. Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members. Provides physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families. Supervises assigned team members.Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Must have current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of North Carolina or from a compact state.
2. Current BLS maintained.
