qualified Oncology RN in Asheville, North Carolina, 28801! Pay

Certification Description: The oncology unit has a total of 24
beds. There are 42 staff members working on the unit. The day shift
consists of 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 4-6 Registered Nurses, 2
Certified Nursing Assistants, and 1 Health Unit Coordinator. The
night shift consists of 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 4-6
Registered Nurses, and 2 Certified Nursing Assistants. Patient
ratios are typically 1:4 or 1:5. Standard unit equipment is used.
The Electronic Medical Record system in use is Cerner. Candidates
are desired who fit the following skill set: Must have an active RN
license and BLS certification. Chemotherapy certification is
preferred. Occasional procedures performed on the unit include
pelvic exams, echocardiograms, and thoracentesis. The ideal
candidates will be team players who are eager to learn. There are
no required certifications at this time. Staff may occasionally
float to other medical-surgical units, but this is uncommon. RNs
are expected to wear navy, white, or a combination of both colors,
while Certified Nursing Assistants wear galaxy blue. Basic hospital
policies and guidelines apply, including weekend requirements,
which require working 6 weekend days in the schedule.
