Job Description & Requirements ~ Specialty: Stepdown ~ Discipline: RN ~ Duration: 13 weeks ~36 hours per week ~ Shift: 12 hours, nights ~ Employment Type: Travel Address: 509 Biltmore Avenue Unit Name: D3-A Building: A tower, D corridor, 3rd floor Cost Center: 616 Unit: 10-bed ICU/PCU Overflow Patient Ratios: ICU: 2:1 PCU: 4-5:1 Staffing: Charge nurse out of staffing, no unit secretaries or PCTs Day: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RN Night: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RN Equipment: ~ Lift equipment, TTM, ventilators, IV pumps Documentation: Cerner Scheduling: ~12-hour shifts, every other weekend, holiday support On Call: None Floating: Required Skills Needed: Medical ICU experience in large facility Hemodynamic monitoring Ventilator management Critical care pharmacology Central line management Procedures: ~ Assist with bedside procedures (chest tubes, intubations) Certifications: ~ BLS, ACLS Dress Code: ~ Navy Blue or White scrubs Note: Bedside shift report required; relief charge nurse expected to do nurse leader rounding.
