Delivery for a travel nursing job in Knoxville, Tennessee. Job
Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery -
Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours
per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job
Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a
Labor and Delivery night shift position requiring a TN or compact
license, 2 years of recent L&D experience, and key
certifications. Responsibilities - Work in the Labor and Delivery
unit of a hospital setting - Patient population includes laboring
women and postpartum/couplet care - Nurse-patient ratios are 1:2
for labor and 1:8 for postpartum/couplets - Night shifts are 12
hours, scheduled 3 times per week from 18:45 to 07:15 - Floating is
required according to clinical experience and unit needs - On-call
required for 2 shifts per 6-week schedule period - Weekend work
required every other weekend or two weekends per month - Uses
Cerner charting system; experience preferred but not required -
Must be able to float in accordance with organizational policy and
receive appropriate orientation - Travelers cannot return to the
same campus as previous perm staff within 24 months; may return to
other campuses after 12 months - No major holiday or surrounding
day RTO requests accommodated; holiday RTO can be addressed onsite
with manager - Blocked scheduling requests are not permitted -
Modules are required during orientation and annually, completed via
the facility's internal system - Related or married travel teams
may not work on the same unit - Local candidates are accepted at a
lower rate and must reside outside a 75-mile radius for travel rate
eligibility Requirements - Active TN or compact state RN license in
hand at time of consideration - Minimum 2 years of current Labor
and Delivery RN experience required - Current certifications: BLS
(AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, AWHONN, and NIHSS - Previous travel nursing
experience required for all specialties - Licenses and
certifications must not expire within 45 days of start date
