qualified Long-Term Care RN in Knoxville, Tennessee, 37916! Pay
Information $2,017 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Long-Term Care
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. License:
TN/compact licensure required. Certifications: BLS and NIHSS
certifications are required. Must-Have: Must be able to pass EKG
testing before the start date. Must have 2 years of current
experience in nursing. Description: This position is for a
registered nurse in a transitional care unit. The nurse will
provide care to adults and geriatric patients. The daily census is
approximately 18 patients. Patient diagnoses include hip fractures,
knee and hip replacements, post-cardiac procedures, respiratory
issues, and dementia. The nurse will work a night shift, three
times per week. The nurse will be responsible for a patient ratio
of 1:7-8. Floating may be required based on census. Weekend shifts
are required every other week or two per month. Travelers will not
be accommodated for time off during major holidays. The role
includes performing assessments, medication administration, and
patient care planning. Skills required include infection control,
wound care, and IV medication administration. The nurse will work
closely with interdisciplinary teams including therapy and social
services. End-of-life care and palliative care are components of
patient management. Health procedures such as dressing changes and
central line care may be required. Knowledge in interpreting and
communicating lab values is essential. The position involves
