Travel Nurse Job Details - Location: Maryville, TN 37804 (East Tennessee healthcare jobs) - Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract (January 5, 2026 – April 6, 2026) - Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry – 5 North - Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30), 36 hours per week - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1770 – $1820 - Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics - Unit Size: 30 beds - Weekend Coverage: Required - Orientation: Up to 16 hours (pre-assignment modules required) Registered Nurse Qualifications - Active Tennessee RN license or compact state RN license (Tennessee nursing jobs) - Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience - Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications - At least 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR - Proficient in isolation precautions, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, peripheral line care, and rapid response/code team protocols - Ability to float to other hospital units within demonstrated skill set as needed - Flu vaccination required (no exemptions) - Must be available for scheduled weekend shifts RN Responsibilities - Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit - Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using EPIC EMR - Administer medications and perform clinical nursing interventions - Respond quickly to rapid response and code situations - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy - Care for patients with general medical diagnoses, pre- and post-operative needs, and post-heart catheterization - Assist with bedside procedures such as dialysis catheter placement, thoracentesis, and incision & drainage (I&D) - Float to other hospital units as required by census and staffing needs, within demonstrated competencies - Maintain a safe, patient-centered, and supportive hospital environment Apply now to join our healthcare team in Maryville, Tennessee!
