Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse – Tennessee Start Date: February 9, 2026 Location: Maryville, Tennessee Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour shifts with weekend coverage required; patient ratios are 5:1 days, 6:1 nights and weekends; daily census of 30 patients Highlights: - Medical-Surgical and Telemetry unit with a diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics - Experience with bedside procedures including dialysis catheter placement, thoracentesis, and incision and drainage - Post-heart catheterization care and general medical, pre-op, and post-op patient management - Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams - Electronic medical record system utilized; charting experience required - Pre-assignment modules are billable up to 16 hours and completed before start date Requirements: - Active Tennessee RN license - Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required - Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience - Electronic medical record experience required; EPIC EMR experience preferred - Willingness to float to other units based on skill set and competency - Flu vaccination required with no exemptions; COVID-19 vaccine not required Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic Med-Surg/Telemetry environment with a well-rounded case mix that includes post-procedural care and complex medical patients.
