Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse – Tennessee Start Date: February 9, 2026 Location: Maryville, Tennessee Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Block scheduling with 6:1 patient ratios across all shifts; weekend coverage required; floating within hospital based on skill set Highlights: Progressive care step-down unit serving 28-bed capacity with adult patient population Manage patients with higher acuity including post-cardiac cath, dialysis, AFib, and high oxygen demands Cardiac drip administration including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation protocols ER holding experience utilized; telemetry monitoring with interpretation of dysrhythmias Epic EMR system; 24 hours of orientation provided Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, respiratory services, and pharmacy Requirements: Active Tennessee RN license in good standing BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required ER holding experience necessary Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, blood product administration, and interpretation of dysrhythmias Experience with central line care, chest tubes, PCA pumps, and tracheostomy management preferred Flu vaccination required with no exemptions Why It's a Great Opportunity: This progressive care telemetry role offers the perfect balance of critical thinking and patient-centered care in a supportive environment with robust interdisciplinary resources.
