Job Description:
Children's Hospital, in collaboration with the University of
Tennessee Medical Center, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse
(RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role is critical in
our mission to provide outstanding trauma care and support to
injured children from our region, as well as facilitating pediatric
healthcare training opportunities for smaller, regional hospitals.
As a member of our team, you will work in a supportive environment
that emphasizes professional growth and development in pediatric
healthcare. Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients
in a trauma setting. Assess patients’ health problems and needs,
develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical
records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or
disabled patients. Advise patients on health maintenance and
disease prevention or provide case management. Collaborate with
physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide patient
care. Facilitate pediatric health programs as part of community
outreach efforts. Support and mentor new staff and participate in
the training of healthcare professionals from smaller hospitals.
Strong pediatric health care skills. Ability to work effectively in
high-pressure situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. Proficient in clinical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Capability to
perform effectively in a team-oriented environment. Medical

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Trauma
Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred.
