Required Skills: Board Certification in Critical Care Pulmonology (BC) Valid Virginia State Medical License Board Certification in Pulmonology Current BLS and ACLS certifications DEA license for practice in Virginia Proven experience in intensive care units, managing ventilated respiratory patients Proficiency with Epic electronic health record systems Ability to perform procedures such as bronchoscopy Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to work 12-hour shifts effectively, including weekends and holidays Nice to Have Skills: Experience working with respiratory support devices and advanced pulmonary procedures Prior experience in academic or large hospital settings Knowledge of hospital operations and multidisciplinary team collaboration Multilingual abilities are a plus but not required Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years of prior ICU and critical care pulmonology experience Active license in Virginia and familiarity with VA healthcare regulations Other Requirements: Successful completion of vaccination protocols including Flu, MMR, Varicella (or positive titers), and recent TB testing Epic electronic medical records experience within the past year Credentialing process completion within 60 days No licensing restrictions; licensure in Virginia required All travel costs (airfare, hotel, rental car) are billable Salary: $312.00 per hour, with additional pay for overtime and holidays at $600/hour Shift Details: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, seven days a week If you are a dedicated Critical Care Pulmonology Physician seeking to advance your career in a challenging yet rewarding environment, we invite you to apply now.
