Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery Location: Maryville, Tennessee
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift (3x12s) Schedule
Shift: Night Shift Schedule: 3 shifts per week Hours per Shift: 12
hours Shift Time: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM Block Scheduling: Not Available
Weekends/Call: Required Position Summary A healthcare facility in
Maryville, TN is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered
Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. This role supports a busy
Family Birthplace unit and requires strong clinical expertise,
flexibility, and the ability to provide high-quality care in a
fast-paced obstetric environment. Responsibilities Provide
comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum
patients Perform triage assessments and manage inductions and labor
progression Assist with cesarean sections, external versions, and
obstetric procedures Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate
tracings and non-stress tests (NSTs) Administer magnesium sulfate
and other obstetric medications per protocol Participate in newborn
resuscitation and stabilization Perform circumcisions as within
scope and facility policy Float to other units as needed, within
scope of skill set Maintain accurate documentation using the EPIC
electronic medical record system Collaborate with physicians,
midwives, anesthesia, NICU, and interdisciplinary teams Required
Qualifications Active Tennessee RN license Minimum 2 years of
recent Labor & Delivery experience (no first-time travelers) BLS,
ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required Minimum
1 year of EPIC experience Ability to work nights, weekends, and
