Asheville, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements -
Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start
Date: 03/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift:
12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum
of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required.
Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for
extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment.
$750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: •
Work on a 20-bed progressive care unit (PCU) with inpatient
overflow and mixed level of care • Patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6
stretch depending on level of care • Care for medical surgical
and/or step-down patients • Handle short stay patients (less than
24 hour length of stay) with quick turnover • Work with telemetry
equipment - all patients requiring telemetry monitoring are
hardwired to bedside monitors • Use Cerner electronic medical
record system • Required to float to other units as needed • Every
other weekend required, no call responsibilities • Day shift
staffing: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs • Night shift staffing: 1
charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must have telemetry competency and progressive care experience •
Recent progressive care experience preferred • Dress code: Navy
and/or white top, navy bottom, or all white scrubs • Ideal
candidate has positive attitude, patient experience focus, kind and
compassionate demeanor, and works well as a team player Facility:
