Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Asheville, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,120 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/27/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVICU RN in Asheville, North Carolina, 28801! Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: None required; CCRN preferred Must-Have: Titration of Vesicant Meds Familiarity with Pressors Sedation and Paralytics experience Experience with Vents and Trachs Telemetry interpretation skills Understanding of Hemodynamics PA Catheter setup and interpretation Transvenous pacing experience Cardioversion skills TEE familiarity Chest tube insertions and maintenance experience Description: Looking for experienced nurses capable of ECMO, LVAD, and Cath lab recovery. The unit focuses on high-acuity patients requiring specialized care. Staffing ratios are typically 2:1 but may vary to 1:1 or occasionally 3:1 based on patient acuity. RNs are supported by a comprehensive range of equipment including Vent, Telemetry, Baxter IV Pump, IABP, CRRT, and Impella. Documentation is managed through a Cerner system. Nurses must be comfortable floating to different areas as needed. Advanced skills in IABP, Impella, and CRRT are appreciated but not required. Procedures performed in this unit include Cardioversion, Central line insertion, EGD, Bronchoscopy, Chest tube insertions, Pericardiocentesis, and Thoracentesis. RNs should adhere to a strict dress code with specific scrub colors. The environment promises exposure to new technologies and an experienced team to work alongside.
