will be responsible for comprehensive physical therapy evaluations;

endurance, and overall functional independence. Common diagnoses
include post-acute orthopedic surgeries, generalized deconditioning
after hospitalization, stroke, cardiopulmonary conditions, and
chronic disease management. You will regularly participate in care
conferences, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on
discharge planning, and provide caregiver and family education to
support safe transitions to home or lower levels of care. A typical
day includes performing detailed assessments, leading one-on-one or
small-group treatment sessions, documenting progress in the EMR,
and coordinating closely with therapy assistants, nurses, and
physicians. Caseloads are structured to allow for meaningful
patient interaction and thorough documentation. Patient ratios are
aligned with skilled nursing and subacute rehab standards, with a
mix of short-stay rehab patients and long-term residents. You can
expect consistent weekday hours with the possibility of some
weekend or holiday rotation to meet patient needs. Kingsport’s
