The Payroll Operations Associate supports the Payroll Supervisor Manager in the efficient and compliant execution of departmental responsibilities. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information. The Associate is responsible for adhering to and enforcing company policies.

The responsibilities of the Payroll Operations Associate encompass a wide range of tasks related to payroll operations compliance, both within and outside the office. This includes:

  • Managing and tracking all incoming and outgoing mail, providing support for payroll garnishment, Payroll Transaction Associate, and configuration teams as required, and handling client and employee calls while documenting resolutions

  • Responsible for printing and mailing weekly garnishment responses, processing due diligence letters and mail, as well as child support orders, tax levies, and other orders in a timely manner

  • Upload data into payroll systems for review and audit purposes, maintain department trackers, and provide weekly numbers for Key Performance Indicators (KPI) tracking

  • Prepares logs and mails checks for deposits, gathers and analyzes data to identify and solve complex problems, and may suggest new techniques to improve processes

  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of various processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within their job function and the ability to evaluate and communicate complex content concisely and logically

  • Advanced organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset

  • Capable of using query and reporting tools



    Basic Qualifications

    • Minimum 1-year of multi-state payroll experience

    • Minimum 1-year Microsoft Office experience



      Preferred Qualifications

      • Understanding of garnishments processing and compliance

      • Microsoft Office experience to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint

      • Abilities in data analysis and data management



        Professional Skills

        • Experience working with teams and large groups to find resolutions

        • Strong organizational skills and ability to change work assignments with little or no notice



          Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York or Washington as set forth below.
