Job Description:
Senior RPG Programmer Long-term Contract Opportunity! Great
opportunity for an RPG Programmer to work on some NEW large
enterprise level projects utilizing the latest practices in RPG.
This individual will be part of a large team of Senior RPG
Developers working on a large Oracle ERP implementation and other
modernization projects. This is an immediate long-term contract
role headquartered in the beautiful city of Knoxville, TN! This
opportunity is for a client recognized by FORBES as a top company
to work. Senior RPG Programmer (Contract) Responsibilities:
Analysis, code development, documentation and maintenance of new
applications and substantial enhancements to existing applications.
Required skills include a demonstrated expertise in development of
ILE RPG based applications using free-format RPG and embedded SQL
Experience with browser based and/or GUI application development a
plus. HTML and JavaScript a plus. Senior RPG Programmer (Contract)
Required skills: RPGLE, RPG Free, SQL, SQL RPG and CL languages RPG
IV and ILE (In terms of binding modules, service programs and API
programming) Expert skills and experience in data migration,
integration and transformation methods DDS, DDL and DML Strong
Embedded SQL skills are a hard requirement Sub Procedures and
Stored Procedures iSeries Navigator and RSE Expert skill and
knowledge of pointers and cursors Must have experience with Power8
and DB2 systems Must be comfortable working independently to
maintain and implement enterprise- class applications that adhere
to all company standards Expert knowledge of change management
process Senior RPG Programmer (Contract) Desired Skills: XML ERP
experience IBM Content Manager Working knowledge of Web Services,
SFTP and IFS Agile methodology/Scrum experience Ability to engage
