Job Description The Manufacturing Engineer at Aqua-Chem will be responsible for supporting the production process to ensure optimization of cost, quality and on time delivery of products. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Location: Onsite; Knoxville, TN Pay Range: Dependent on Experience | $85,000 - $135,000/yr Benefits: Group Medical, Dental Vision, 401(k) Match, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, and Paid Sick Time. Employer Paid Benefits: STD, LTD, Life AD&D Essential Duties: /n - Update or emplace manufacturing work instructions plant wide. /n - Develop standard labor hours and optimization of those hours. /n - Design to value: improve new and existing manufacturing drawings for ease of manufacturing and reduction in cost without affecting safety, quality, form, fit, and function. /n - Support purchasing: prepare scope of supply, to include instructions and drawings for suppliers. /n - Support manufacturing "red lines" - incorporate minor manufacturing design change request(s) without disrupting manufacturing operations. /n - Review of new manufacturing drawings for release /n - Support Application in cost estimations. /n - Support the aftermarket department with tasks such as finding replacements for obsolete parts, etc. /n - Be a leader in completing the transformation into a data-driven organization. /n - Report progress on initiatives and KPI's. /n - Documents potential risks or shortfalls in methods and processes /n - Help develop a highly capable manufacturing support team. /n - Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor. /n /n Education/Experience: /n - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience required /n - 5 years of experience in a capital equipment manufacturing environment preferred /n - Ability to operate in Autodesk a plus /n /n Requirements: /n - Must be a U.S. Citizen /n - Able to work overtime as required. /n /n *This description indicates the general nature of the tasks and responsibilities required of positions given this classification.
