Our Production Crew Leader role is exciting for those who enjoy the
opportunity to lead a team, improve processes, and directly impact
production output and quality, while also offering professional
growth. One of their most important goals is to properly organize
and direct the production staff to achieve a satisfactory workflow.
They must also identify areas for improvement and organize training
opportunities for their team. The successful candidate will be a
self-starter with responsibility for safety, housekeeping, quality
and production on a shift for an assigned area of the plant. This
includes environmental health & safety (EHS), employee motivation,
training, equipment needs, employee scheduling, continuous
improvement and productivity issues. May also provide process
direction and prioritization to craft employees to resolve
equipment issues. This position requires the ability to work a
variety of shifts and schedules; examples include a 7-day work week
and 12-hour shifts. Responsibilities In this role, you will: Key
Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily activities of
production crew members on the manufacturing floor. Lead daily
shift meetings to review goals, recognize achievements, and address
concerns. Ensure safety, quality, cost and production standards are
met by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and adjusting
workflows as needed. Promote and enforce safety standards and
company policies to maintain a safe working environment. Train and
mentor new and existing team members on equipment operation, safety
protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Conduct
quality checks and ensure products meet specifications and
compliance standards. Communicate effectively with maintenance and
quality assurance to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
Leadership & Team Building: Foster a culture of accountability,
respect, and continuous improvement. Recognize individual and team
accomplishments to boost morale and engagement. Facilitate training
and skill development to build a flexible and resilient team.
Qualifications You have: (required) High school diploma or
equivalent. 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. 1
year of leadership or supervisory experience in operations.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time
of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred) Technical training or
associate degree preferred. Strong understanding of lean
manufacturing principles, safety regulations, and quality control.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using manufacturing software and Microsoft Office.
Experience in Aluminum casting operations. Strong problem solving
and communication skills in order to communicate with all levels of
the organization required. Good computer skills including use of
Microsoft Office. Requires a progressive thinker who can initiate
change. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and move
throughout the facility for extended periods. Work in a fast-paced
environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving equipment.
