If so, we are currently seeking a qualified and motivatedprofessionalfor the following position:CSU Residential CounselorSUMMARYThe CE Resident Counselor serves as a clinical member of the multi-disciplinary team, providing education, rehabilitation, and support for client population. Is able to have 1:1 interactions with clients yielding positive results.The schedule for this position is: night shifts plus one weekend day and one weekend evening/night.Mandatory to remain awake and alert during shift.JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation/Knowledge: A bachelor's degree in a health related field of counseling, psychology, social work, or a HS Diploma with three years experience working with individuals with mental illness, special populations with co-occurring and dual diagnoses preferred.Must have coursework and/or experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, and crisis intervention.Experience:Experience in working with special populations including individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, Co-occurring Disorders, and Dual Diagnosis is preferred. Computer experience is helpful. Experience working in a crisis setting is preferred. Regular attendance is an essential job function.Physical:Possible exposure to biological hazards. Valid driver's license with F endorsement. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.Required to be certified in and adequately implement verbal and physical de-escalation techniques that include a wide range of bodily movements including but not limited to grasping, holding another person, going down on knees, running, and walking.COMPENSATION:Full time annual salary starts at approximately $11.15 to $13.54 per hour depending on relevant experience and education.The McNabb Center ( ) is a premier not-for-profit provider of behavioral health services. The Center provides quality care and serves all ages in a continuum of prevention, early intervention, social, co-occurring, addiction, outpatient, and crisis services.MC is an EOE.
