The Safety Coordinator is responsible for planning,
implementing, and overseeing the organizations safety program. The
primary focus of this position is to ensure the safety of employees
and partners while remaining compliant with OSHA regulations. This
position requires travel to contract areas for training, education,
and inspection purposes.
Must be able to adapt to a flexible schedule.
Develop, maintain, and manage a company-wide safety program.
Develop and conduct training for Safety, OSHA, Workers'
Compensation, and COVID-19 Safety updates.
Evaluate, assess, and update safety procedures and policies for the
benefit of employees and customer.
Manage and maintain safety shoe program.
Analyze accident reports and evaluate injury case studies based on
Develop and distribute safety meeting topics.
Research regulations and policies and institute changes to ensure
compliance (including OSHA, EPA, etc.).
Build and maintain a professional working relationship with
operations managers, contract managers, and administrative

Prepare annual reports for OSHA 300 and BLS.
Manage and maintain all Worker's Comp, General Liability, and Auto
insurance claims ensuring compliance, which includes maintaining a
working relationship with carriers and brokers.
Maintain a strong level of communication with insurance carries
ensuring we maintain the correct and necessary level of coverage
WC, GL, and Auto Insurance.
Communicate with managers on required information for reported WC
Manage in conjunction with the Asst. Director of HR all leaves of
absence for COVID and WC and update the HRIS and spreadsheets as
Track KPI's and other safety metrics including but not limited to
WC injuries and cost, COVID exposure and positive test results,
monthly and annual training by locations companywide, apply
findings, develop action plans report reports to Director of
Suggest solutions, improvements, and prevention steps for safety
Develop training materials for and conduct the monthly safety
Track and report the EMR (Experience Modification Rate) and TRIR
(Total Recorded Incident Rate).
Oversee the applications for and receipt of necessary permits
(depending on contract requirements).
Lead injury and incident inquiries and evaluations.
Assist with company insurance renewals.
Assist for contract start-ups ensuring all safety procedures are in
place and trained properly.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
(preferably in environmental health and safety).
Certified in risk management and health/safety management
(preferred, not required).
3+ years' experience in the service industry.
Ability to train, influence and motivate team members.
Strong understanding of Worker's Compensation and Company
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays when

Extensive attention to detail to distinguish safety hazards.
Ability to provide detailed reports and develop safety
Good understanding of data analysis and risk assessment.
Frequent travel required (50 percent or more).
