Our client based in East TN is seeking an Infrastructure Manager
to join the team. This person will report to the Department of
Technology Solutions (DTS) Infrastructure and Security Department
Head. This person will oversee Infrastructure and will manage
system administrators who analyze, implement, configure, and
maintain enterprise computer systems SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft
systems and databases. The position will also oversee the planning,
development, and implementation of new information systems with a
focus on cloud-based solutions (Azure). We are looking for a strong
leader who is passionate about infrastructure and managing people
for this opportunity.
Additional responsibilities include:
Manage a team of infrastructure admins/engineers including project
management, training, mentoring, and team building. This includes
recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job
expectations, and appraising their performance.
Identify possible areas where information systems could be used to
improve current processes or address new process requirements.
In partnership with other IT leaders and clients, plan, organize,
control and evaluate IT solutions to solve complex business
problems with a focus on cloud technology.
Collaborate with organizations leaders to create a vision and
roadmap for the strategic growth of DTS.
Consistently produce high-quality deliverables in a timely manner,
self-assigning dates/times for delivery and meeting delivery due
Troubleshoot and analyze performance issues and customer reported
incidents as appropriate, with a continuous improvement
Effectively manage relationships with vendors, outsourcers, and
consultants-including contracts, service agreements, and
escalations with a focus on Microsoft support and companies that
are Microsoft Partners.
Lead activities for the provisioning, upgrade, patching,
configuration, testing, documenting, and modification of multiple
ERP systems, servers, server operating systems, databases, and
Lead the design and implementation of an integration platform that
can bring together data and functionality of on premise, cloud,
third party, and custom developed applications.
Lead disaster recovery planning, preparation, testing, and
Ensure security of systems including monitoring and auditing of
systems and assessment and resolution of issues.
Microsoft Azure experience
Experience leading an Azure or cloud implementation
Hands on Microsoft experience
5+ years of infrastructure experience with all or some of this
technology: Azure, Azure Active Directory, Office 365, Windows
Server, backup and recovery, wide area, and local networking
True people management experience leading planning, project
management, assigning work, etc.
Excellent leadership experience
Experience administering, configuring, and troubleshooting
Microsoft Windows Server
Experience administrating Active Directory, Group Policy and
Experience with IT security products, frameworks, techniques,
infrastructure equipment, and applications pertinent to information
Experience working with business partners to determine needs and
develop appropriate technical solutions/responses to solve business
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple ongoing projects and
responsibilities to meet business technology needs
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the
Proven track record of success in leadership positions with staff
Capability to identify and implement appropriate IT security
controls for a given scope
