Situated at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Village Behavioral Health offers an ideal setting for adolescents to begin facing their difficulties free from distractions. Our program's goal is to help teenagers make better choices by helping them understand how poor choices have affected them in the past. Village Behavioral Health provides a safe, secure, and serene setting to allow treatment to truly begin.We are currently recruiting for a Transitional Specialist.-- - This position will serve as a link between direct client services and provider contact.-- - Ensures effective educational communication with local schools, completes post-discharge calls to effectively gather performance improvement data, and act as an educational assistant in the classroom to provide additional intensive academic need.-- - The Transitional Specialist position is critical in carrying out Village Behavioral Health's mission of changing the lives of the youth and families we serve.We are looking for someone with the following experience:Bachelor degree preferred. High school diploma required.1-2 year's experience in the Behavioral Health Field and within Children/Adolescent Residential Treatment preferred.Knowledge of best practice for adolescent mental health and substance abuse treatment.Strong communication and organizational skills.Ability to develop and track data collected.Effective time management is a must.Ability to work well amongst a team.Village Behavioral Health offers a competitive benefits package including paid time off and 401K.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
