They can work at a strategic level, helping to shape the team's roadmap but will not shy away from tactical tasks driving the best solutions and the team's mission. This role will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of mission-critical enterprise business intelligence solutions using Power BI sourcing data from many disparate sources. Additionally, this role will mine, organize, and analyze data that support key business initiatives and business insights. About the Role:You will partner with business end-users to develop and implement collaborative solutions to data and analytics problems using Azure Data Factory and Power BI. The analyst will be responsible for delivering effective data structures that will enable data visualization solutions to support data-driven decision making. You're not expected to know everything, but you can't be afraid to learn anything. We're looking for the curious doers that try, learn, adjust, and deliver every day. Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities: + Process and analyze large volumes of data using Azure Data Factory that will produce data structures to support reporting needs + Develop and shape data using SQL, utilizing experience in database concepts and knowledge of dimensional modeling + Facilitate discussions with business users to surface and prioritize issues, requirements, and solutions + Prepare documentation of technical requirements and data definitions + Create Executive Level Power BI Dashboards to provide insight into key business metrics + Manage and execute on projects in an agile environment + Implement new functionality and changes to reporting and BI tools + Document business requirements, document testing requirements, assist in testing, and train end users + Create and run queries for use in reporting and data analysis linking disparate data sources across Snowflake, SQL Server, and SaaS platforms + Provide reporting and BI subject matter expertise, support, and training to the business teams to enhance their skills and achieve, over time, increased self-sufficiency on their side in using basic and intermediate reporting and BI capabilities + Ensure that reporting and business intelligence operational reports are working, updated timely, and down time is communicated and minimized + Maintain and publish documentation of data and BI tools (user guides, models, metadata, etc.) + Provide continuous improvement through the automation/streamlining report production Qualifications/Requirements: + 3+ years professional experience in the data analytics, dashboard development, and business reporting + 2+ years of Microsoft Power BI experience (design, development, deployment, and security management of reporting across an organization and across multiple departments) + Experience with varied databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and/or SQL Server + Understands technical components of a data environment: Data lake, data warehouse, star schema, data marts + Ability to compose complex SQL queries + Understanding of data architecture for reporting and analysis + Exposure of Microsoft Analytics stack + Experience working with ERP systems data such Purchasing, Order Management, Manufacturing, and Financials modules + Ability to compose complex SQL queries Desired Characteristics: + People would describe you as a data wizard because you can take the unimaginable and bring it to reality. + Outcome-focused, not activity-focused. + Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills. + Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities. + Solid technical skills to investigate and the ability to simplify technical concepts to communicate with non-technical colleagues. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
