Job Description
Arconic Corp. Tennessee Operations is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer for our Tennessee Operations facility. The incumbent will provide engineering support to maintenance and operations in our Central Services Organization, acting as technical advisor to our Predictive Maintenance/NDT team. The successful incumbent will support safety, restoring product flow, providing technical solutions to recurring design and process problems, analyze equipment and process data to identify opportunities for improvement, and develop solutions and system improvements to address those opportunities. Including being resident motor expert, heavily focused on large motor reliability. This person will also develop, manage and implement capital projects, major repairs and maintenance projects and provide some process engineering support.

Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college/university
  • Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience and working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment and component failure analysis.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in large electric motors, including testing, vibration analysis, IR thermography, machinery lubricant analysis, alignment and balancing.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Technical knowledge to support the installation, operation, and repair of electrical controls and automation technology
    • Previous experience with data acquisition systems and data analytics
    • Experience in justifying, managing and executing capital projects.
    • Strong written and oral communications skills.
    • Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills.
    • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
    • Experience with ladder logic and programming/troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), Rockwell and Allen Bradley PLC experience is preferred
    • Experience specifying, installing and troubleshooting DC and AC motor drives systems.
    • Experience with networking equipment, installation, troubleshooting and commissioning. (ideally as it pertains to Automation Communication).
    • Experience with power distribution systems
