most-cited research in the world. SUMMARY Perform assembly, quality
control testing and evaluation of silicon detectors. Essential
Duties and Responsibilities: Reads work assembly instructions,
follows production drawings and sample assemblies, and receives
verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.Understand
electronics testing principles.Performs assembly and test of Ultra
and SB detectors.Determine quality of detectors based on test
data.Clearly document findings and results.Troubleshoot vacuum and
electronic problems.Fills liquid nitrogen containers.Cleans and
maintains lab area and equipment.Assign detectors to appropriate
sales order and perform final packaging.Enter UHT tracking
data.Performs physical inventory when required.May be required to
mentor or train others.Utilize Lean manufacturing principles
including Kanban and visual management processes. REQUIREMENTS:
Must have at least intermediate level experience with
oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and other test/measurement
equipment.Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision.Must
have experience with good soldering practices.Must show skills and
ability to work with intricate and fragile components.Must be
meticulous and have a high affinity for details.Good knowledge of,
and experience with Microsoft Office suite of products and computer
data entry. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNone EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCEAssociate degree (AS) or equivalent from two-year college
or technical school and two years related experience or ten years
of directly related experience. LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and
comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively
present information in one-on-one and small group situations to
customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. MATHEMATICAL
SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units
of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage. REASONING
ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out
instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability
to deal with problems involving variables in standardized
