  Responsibilities:
  
  • Repair Trailers and operate tools on day-to-day basis.
  • Mechanics will perform quality repairs and maintenance on all Heavy Trailers and refrigerated trailer as specified in manufacturer designed procedures or accepted industry practices.
  • Work on trailers, repair top rail and bottom rails, replace panels, bumpers, welding, and body swaps.
  • Mechanics will accurately complete all paperwork including repair information on work orders, information for state and federal certification inspections, etc.
  • Dedication and adherence to all company and industry safety standards
  • Perform a wide variety of repairs, maintenance, installations, replacements, preventative maintenance, and diagnostic tasks for various makes and models of semi-trailers in an efficient, timely, accurate, professional, and safe manner in accordance with all Company polices
    
    Job Requirements:
    
    • High school diploma/GED preferred
    • Minimum of 3 years of repair and maintenance experience in a heavy trailer / fleet dealership or shop environment
    • Possess own tools to perform work on all equipment
    • Knowledge on A/C system, brake system, emission systems, air systems and diagnostics / trouble shooting of diesel engines
    • Basic computer skills with ability to use diagnostic programs
    • Hold CDL license or be capable of obtaining a CDL license
    • Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and MVR check
      
      Required experience:
      
      • Required license or certification:
      • Trailer Mechanic experience 3 years plus
      • CDL Preferred
      • Certified welder a plus
