Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at Atlantic Health System. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy services.Key Responsibilities

• Filling Orders: Accurately and promptly fill orders for pharmacists to check and dispense, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Distribution/Returns: Handle requests via phone, window, fax, and computer in a professional and timely manner, ensuring seamless communication with our team and external partners.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with our team members to achieve departmental goals, providing support and assistance as needed to ensure the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.
• Sterile Preparations: Prepare IVs aseptically and in a timely manner, promoting efficiency and cost-effectiveness while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Automated Dispensing Machine: Accurately and promptly fill automated dispensing machines, resolving daily problems with equipment and issues, and following up with our team to ensure seamless operation.
• Repackaging/Inventory Control: Repackage oral medications accurately, ensuring all products are bar-coded and placed in the correct locations, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Performance Improvement/Customer Satisfaction: Provide exceptional customer service, answering phones, windows, and doors promptly and in a courteous manner, while participating in internal and external performance improvement and cost savings initiatives.
• Education/Training: Complete all competency training, participate in education and training programs for new employees, current employees, students, and pharmacy residents, and maintain professional competency by keeping abreast of current literature, new medications, and therapies.Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; college courses desirable but not required.
  • Active registration with NJ Board of Pharmacy required.
  • PTCB or NHA obtained within 6 months of hiring.
