Our client, an industry leader in advanced ceramics manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to join their team. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance Department supporting inspection and quality processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Quality Control Specialist Location: Oak Ridge, TN Pay Range: $21.00 to $23.50 per hour Shift: Days What's the Job? Inspect raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods to ensure compliance with technical specifications. Conduct visual and measurement inspections using complex equipment such as Zeiss or Mitutoyo Coordinate Measuring Machines, Smartscope, or RAM. Utilize precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, comparators, and surface gauges to accept or reject parts. Read and interpret technical drawings with tight tolerances, ensuring accurate inspection processes. Analyze statistical data using SPC software, document inspection results, and maintain quality standards. What's Needed? High School Diploma or GED required. 2-4 years of applicable product inspection experience preferred. Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and intermediate math skills. Experience operating inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and video scopes. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
