Registered Nurse (RN) | Oncology Location: Asheville, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,042 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 26 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Oncology Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Chemo Certification Description: The unit has 24 beds and 42 staff members. The typical staffing includes 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 4-6 Registered Nurses, 2 Certified Nursing Assistants, and 1 Health Unit Coordinator during day shifts. Night shift staffing mirrors the day shift with a Clinical Nurse Coordinator and 4-6 Registered Nurses. Patient ratios are typically 1:4 or 1:5. Standard unit equipment is utilized. Electronic Medical Record system is Cerner. Candidates must be team players and willing to learn. The unit performs occasional pelvic exams, echocardiograms, and thoracentesis. There are basic hospital policies and guidelines in place. Staff is required to work 6 weekend days as scheduled. There is rare on-call duty. RNs are expected to wear navy, white, or a combination of both colors. Certified Nursing Assistants should wear Galaxy Blue.
