Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Asheville, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,584 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Valid Registered Nurse license Certifications: Must-Have: ACLS, NIH Description: This position is for a registered nurse in a progressive care unit. The unit has 36 beds and a staff of 40. It includes a charge nurse, multiple registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, and a health unit coordinator on each shift. The typical patient ratios are 5:1, with stretch ratios of 6:1 during the day and 7:1 during the night. Standard medical-surgical equipment is utilized on this unit. The electronic medical record system in use is Cerner. Candidates must possess strong clinical skills, particularly in neuro care. Procedures performed on the unit include Foley insertion and IV starts. The ideal candidate is outgoing and self-motivated. Floating may occur to other medical-surgical floors as needed. Weekend shifts will be required, with every other weekend scheduled. A new staff reference book will be provided at the start of the contract.
